If you’re like me (and the majority of the world), you’ve started to think and maybe even write down your New Year’s resolutions. Well, today my husband and I, along with our two dogs began a 12 hour road trip to North Carolina. We decided this would be a great way to spend the last few days of my winter vacation. Needless to say, 12 hours in a car provides ample time to contemplate the new year, resolutions, and (to me) most importantly my never-ending To-Do list.
As we left the flat, non-scenic roads of Florida heading towards the rolling hills, multitude of trees, and the sunset over the mountains I gained a new perspective for the year to come.
We don’t know what life has in store for us. But, we do know that it’s important to love in the moment! So, while I plan to write down my resolutions, cross off a few things from my To-Do list, and marvel at the beauty of Mother Nature… I also plan to Live For Today! My To-Do list will still be there next week. 🙂
If you’re a school-based SLP, enjoy this last week of vacation because before you know it we will be thrown back to the wolves, figuratively speaking of course! 😉 Find the little things that are so wonderful and turn them into tremendous things! This is the start of… Well, I guess we will have to wait and see what life throws our way!
