If you’re like me you consider yourself to be a “lifelong learner”, while in comparison your family and friends…well… they consider you to be a “geek”. I have a passion for what I do. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE being a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Not just any SLP, but a school-based SLP. I am constantly trying to come up with new and creative ways to provide therapy, mentor and train others, along with continuously educating myself. I get bored easily and try to create new projects constantly. I took up making “personalized cups” as a hobby/side business because I had nothing else to do! See below:
As a new year is about to begin, I find myself wanting to try something new. So, I decided that blogging would be my next endeavor. I want to share what I know and my experiences about Common Core State Standards (CCSS), my use of curriculum-based therapy and literacy, as well as share resources with fellow SLPs.
I’m looking forward to the New Year, new ideas, and anything else NEW!
